After completing his education Mr. Naismith went to McGill University and became the athletic director there and at the same time used to go to Training school of YMCA in Massachusetts. As he was very much into sports therefore during the chilly winters of Massachusetts he wanted to play something indoor and at the same time which does not require a large amount of energy. Therefore he set two baskets of peach as goals and used the soccer ball. This was the first Basketball game played on earth. Through this school of YMCA he made the game being accepted and popular in many countries and in 1936 it was included as a sporting event in Olympics also.

When speaking of basketball, we can be sure that a good defense can always help any team to win the championship. This is the best strategy most winning teams make use of and implement it in their game. Even if this is the case, still there are a number of trainers and coaches who rare try to build up a strong defense team.
One of the main reasons is that building defense is also considered as one of the most difficult task in basketball so there are not many coaches and trainers who in fact want to put in all that time and effort. Most players also don’t find defense too much exciting as playing the other parts of the game like attacking.
Players are in fact more interested in learning other aspects like passing, dribbling and shooting the basket so they literally try to avoid the defense part. If you want to be a fully fledge basketball player then it is must that you are good with your defensive techniques.
A player can always make use of defensive skills to improve his rating and to improve his game play. A good defense can always be a good way to improve the foundation of your game play.
